Chatting with GOD......

Throwing a lot of insights!!!

God: Hello. Did you call me?
Me : Called you? No. Who is this?
God: This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.
Me : I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.
God: What are you busy at ? Ants are busy too.
Me : Don't know. But I can't find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.
God: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.
Me : I understand. But I still can't figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
God: Well, I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.
Me : Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.
Me : Why are we then constantly unhappy?
God: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.
Me : But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.
Me : But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty...
God: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Me : If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
God: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire.
Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life becomes better, not bitter.
Me : You mean to say such experience is useful?
God: Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.
Me : But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?
God: Problems are :
P urposeful
R oadblocks
O ffering
B eneficial
L essons to
E nhance
M ental
S trength.
Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.
Me : Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading...
God: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.
Me : Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
God: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Me : In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessings, not what you are missing.
Me : What surprises you about people?
God: When they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me?" Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.
Me : How can I get the best out of life?
God: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.
Me : One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO for the time being.
Me : Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the New Day with a new sense of inspiration.
God: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

Gone are the days - Part # 1

When the school reopened in June, And we settled in our new desks and benches.

When we queued up in book depot, And got our new books and notes.

When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yet managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.

We learnt writing with slates and pencils, and Progressed to fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips.

We began drawing with crayons and evolved to Colour pencils and finally sketch pens.

We started calculating first with tables and then with Clarke's tables and advanced to calculators and computers.

When we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals, and returned to the classrooms Drenched in sweat.

When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, under the trees and even in cycle sheds.

When all the colors in the world, Decorated the campus on the Second Saturdays.

When a single P.T. period in the week's Time Table, Was awaited more eagerly than the monsoons.

When cricket was played with writing pads as bats, And Neckties and socks rolled into balls.

When few played "kabadi" and "Kho-Kho" in scorching sun, While others simply played "book cricket" in the Confines of classroom.

Of fights but no conspiracies, Of Competitions but seldom jealousy.

When we used to watch Live Cricket telecast, In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks.

When few rushed at 3:45 to "Conquer" window seats in our School bus.

While few others had "Big Fun", "peppermint", "kulfi", " milk ice !" and "sharbat !" at 4o Clock.

Gone are the days Of Sports Day, and the annual School Day , And the one-month long preparations for them.

Gone are the days Of the stressful Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Exams, And the most enjoyed holidays after them.

Of tenth and twelfth standards, when we Spent almost the whole year writing revision tests.

We learnt,
we enjoyed,
we played,
we won,
we lost,
we laughed,
we cried,
we fought,
we thought.

With so much fun in them, so many friends, So much experience , all this and more.

Gone are the days when we used to talk for hours with our friends.
Now we don't have time to say a HI.

Gone are the days when we played games on the road.
Now we code on the road with laptops.

Gone are the days when we saw stars shining at night.
Now we see stars when our code doesn't work.

Gone are the days when we sat to chat with friends in grounds.
Now we chat in chat rooms.....

Gone are the days where we studied just to pass.
Now we study to save our job

Gone are the days where we had no money in our pockets but fun filled in our hearts
Now we have the atm as well as credit card but with an empty heart

Gone are the days where we shouted on the road.
Now we dont shout even at home

Gone are the days where we got lectures from all.
Now we give lectures to all... like the one I'm doing now....

Gone are the days But not the memories, which will be Lingering in our hearts for ever & ever & Ever & ever & Ever .....

NO MATTER HOW BUSY YOU ARE ,

DONT FORGET TO LIVE THE LIFE THAT STILL EXISTS.

Life is short so be happy and keep others happy

Gone are the days - Part # 2

Dear all, Some of these are specific to the friends circle I was in, so may sound vague and not understood. But I am sure the general atmosphere of the writing is common to many of us.

When we had Ravi Sanjay, Harun and Giri's wrestling matches outside the cycle parking
Now we have WWE/WWF Nitro , RAW etc

When we had to take the Scale beatings from Iqbal sir or Chandra Redy sir because we went to the other's tutions
Now we take beatings in Nasdaq or NYSE or BSE beacuse we enter them on the peaks

When we did James Bond proud by smuggling into Anand Theater for "Blue Lagoon" show.
Now we watch "Bluest of the Blue lagoons" on DISH, Mobile or even on the streets !

When we listened to "cricket" commentaries thru the ear phones run thru the full hands shirts.
Now ASCD (American Settled Confused Desis) call "cricket" a BORE and try to admire NFL,NBA, Super bowls etc

When all we wanted is to "Laccha" even late nights sitting on the compound walls of Prabhanjans house.
Now we donot even care to send a few lines to the good old buddies even when we see them on YM or NEtmeeting.

When we went to "Water Works" and had the greatest of times.

When we played Frech Cricket in moon light !
When we played the andhra samithi tennis ball tournament like it was the
World Cup finals.
When we emptied the water tanks on Holiday trying to create floods below
When we watched "Emanuelles" and "Carry on Series" in Shiv Ganga
When Yseen finished 2 bottles of Sauce for 1 samosa
When "So What" was recieved with blanket thunders
When "Aiyya" wacthed the nocturnal stuff of Lizards in Common room
When we had the marathon "Carrom & TT matches" till 5 AM ont he eve of exams
When we were so thrlled at winning "Shikanji" bets in a rummi game
When we had a marathon 4 day fun with Rummi sessions even using hand made card pack (out of punch cards)
When all Hari wanted to do in the afternnons was have a Nagar-Ka-tikka with Curd.
When Llyod and Pottodu conquered Mount Everest (BUS) after few good ones.
When all our exam preparations were done in "Krishna tutorials".
When we agreed to disagree to make our guy "President".
When we forced the "macho man" to donate an extra bottle of blood to win the donation race.
When the same macho man cried like hell on listening to the song from "ammma choodali" from "paapam pasivadu"
When every body wanted to rescreen the scene from "Aitbaar" and "Saagar" for the rest of the day.
When we all thought that making a vessel of Upma was kids stuff at VPR's place.
When we all had a ball-of-time on D Lawns during the historic Dharna
When we the greatest of time by lining up in the twilight Sand dunes for just a "snap"
Pauls "milky" trips to canteen, Rum adventure - Simla to Manali.

The Dhaba movies, Connought, Skylab milk shakes, fried noodles with panneer, Casattas during lunch, Rasam and papads in the mess, the parata, puri bets between Rami and YS.
Rami cleaning up all the Custard and fruit salads when every ones tummies were ready to blow up (not al qaida style)

Yseens and Llyods hard ball adventures and Yseen getting banged by none other than myself in the flood light DSqaure night match.

Kumars chucking spins, Ravi's and MSeens running between the wickets.
Thomas "Gaayab", Rambos bindaas approach to exams, Sandy;s "Aaayle" and bull style bowling grip......

Mullus sulla khan acts (as noted by Yseen)

Lachus Bee-Gees emulation - "river on"

his great drunken bawl,

Memories...memories...memories....

Kingda Ka

At 128 MPH--which it reaches in 3.5 seconds out of the loading area no less--Kingda Ka is the world's fastest coaster. That's 8 mph faster than Cedar Point's similar Top Thrill Dragster, which has been downgraded to the world's second-fastest roller coaster in 2005. Kingda Ka climbs a top-hat tower at 90 degrees. In this case, the apex of the tower reaches a staggering 456 feet. We're talking over 45 stories in the air.The trains crest the tower and plummet 418 feet straight down the other side before entering into a 270-degree vertical spiral.
